Summary of the role

To achieve measurable improvements through identification and delivery of projects end to end across the M&G Prudential account. Creating the case for change by defining, supporting the creation of and analysing MI and processes within our business, to identify and lead improvement initiatives with measurable impact to our business and customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build collaborative relationships across the business, client and 3rd party areas in order to successfully deliver improvement in processes and customer experience
  • Produce clear and effective analysis of both a detailed and descriptive nature, using the insight in an appropriate way to communicate current state of the business processes. Identifying problems impacting our customer journeys.
  • Apply the best method of achieving the required business outcome via a wide range of tools and techniques, including process mapping, re-engineering, gap analysis, and make clear recommendations based on sound analysis.
  • Apply appropriate problem solving and analytical methods and techniques, to shape and define business solutions (e.g. processes and operational changes), documenting them in accordance with agreed format and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and assess the costs and the potential impact on the expected return on investment of proposed solutions, considering technical limitations, risk and operational impacts. Translating improvement opportunities into tangible/measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to articulate business problems, proposed solutions and delivered benefits to internal and external stakeholders
  • Track the impact of any change implemented to ensure realisation of agreed benefits
  • Effective use of different change methodologies and project management principles / frameworks
  • Identify and minimise any change in risk control position from the implementation of all initiatives impacting the business.
  • Ensure that any process improvements complying with company and regulatory requirements and procedures
What we’re looking for
  • Pragmatic and action-orientated
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to select and apply relevant analytical and process engineering tools. Can independently structure, analyse and synthesise findings with minimal coaching
  • Proficient in a wide range of information/data presentation techniques, including the standard MS software applications and process modelling tools (e.g. Visio)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail, good fact finding skills and ability to make evaluative judgments based on both quantitative and qualitative information
  • Able to use different techniques to elicit and capture business requirements, understanding which are best suited to a particular need
  • Understands financial considerations and potential financial impacts of requirements and solutions options
  • Business knowledge - Broad awareness of the Financial Services industry and the regulatory environment
  • General understanding of project methodologies and approaches.
  • Working knowledge of business analysis and information/data presentation techniques, including the standard MS software applications and Visio
  • A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Experience in identifying improvement ideas
  • Project delivery experience
  • Ability to create meaningful current state information packs to allow stakeholders to make quick decisions
  • Excellent analytical ability with keen eye for root cause and the “why”
