Summary of the role
This role will be to support the Senior Line 1 Operational Risk Manager in the delivery of a risk function that meets Diligenta, client and regulatory requirements by taking a senior risk role. This will include driving forward the required activities to ensure compliance with the risk framework and methodology, providing support and challenge to line 1 risk map owners and providing risk input into key projects and initiatives.
The Senior Risk Consultant will deputise for the Senior Line 1 Operational Risk Manager.
As the Senior Risk Consultant attend and present at governance meetings as required and manage relationships with key stakeholders. Manage a team whose principal focus is managing risk assessment and approvals, the risk oversight of projects, breaches / risk events and managing and overseeing operational control frameworks and MI.

What you’ll be doing

Provide Line 1 risk oversight by monitoring adherence to the Risk Framework, advising Operations on risk and controls, and driving improvements in operational procedures. Ensure current and emerging risks are accurately captured, challenged, and reported through the risk management framework, including offshore and onshore activities.
Oversee control performance, risk assessments, and remedial actions to ensure appropriate ownership, governance, and timely closure. Lead risk forums, produce high-quality risk MI, and act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and the client.
Support audits, compliance reviews, and breach management, with a focus on mitigating control weaknesses, recurring issues, and risk events. Provide proactive risk oversight for business change, migrations, digital and transformation initiatives, including Go/No-Go decisions, and manage the L1 Risk team while ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and governance throughout.

What we’re looking for

Proven problem solving and analytical skills in an Operations environment
Proven team working skills
Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders and building position working relationships with them
Working knowledge of Risk Management
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
Strong attention to detail, good fact-finding skills and ability to make judgments based on both quantitative and qualitative information.
Strong planning and time management capabilities.
Ability to develop positive working relationships with senior stakeholders internally and externally
Ability to work independently
