About This Role

Summary of the role

The Speak up Advisor plays a vital role in fostering an open, respectful, and psychologically safe culture where
colleagues feel confident to raise concerns. The role is responsible for conducting impartial and timely investigations
into discrimination-related cases received through Speak Up channels, ensuring issues are handled sensitively,
fairly, and in line with policy.

For all other types of concerns (including protected disclosures), the Speak up Advisor provides expert guidance and
advice to managers, supporting them to address issues appropriately and proportionately. The role promotes early,
informal resolution wherever possible to maintain positive working relationships and reduce unnecessary
escalation.

In addition to investigation responsibilities, the Speak up Advisor acts as a champion for the Speak Up culture,
building trust across the organisation and embedding an environment where raising concerns is encouraged and
valued.

The role leads formal grievance investigations relating to discrimination, facilitates informal resolution through
mediation and other supportive approaches, and uses management information (MI) and insights to drive
continuous improvement and support a healthy organisational culture.
