Summary of the role

The Risk Events portfolio is responsible for managing and resolution of the systemic issues impacting the end customer outcomes. Head of Risk Events would be responsible for Risk Events/Corporate Incidents portfolio across all accounts in Diligenta with team spanning across Operations, Change & IT teams. The role will set the direction, establish uniform processes and KPIs. It will also be responsible for resolution of Pan-Account Risk Events/Corporate Incidents and will entail regular discussion & updates to Diligenta Board, Regulator, Clients and EMT.

Please note, as this is a people leadership role the successful applicant will be supported to succeed in their new role through enrolment in the appropriate level of our Diligenta Leadership 'Step' Pathway (subject to eligibility criteria), designed to drive quality and consistency across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

Accountable for Risk Events Portfolio across all accounts to manage and resolve risk events as per the defined framework
Deliver a measurable and sustained improvement in customer outcomes through resolution of Risk Events
Accountable for achieving ‘One Diligenta solution’ for Risk Events Portfolio, enabling standardisation and common practices for better resolution and avoidance of Risk Events
Ensure each function i.e. Operations, Change & IT operates with clear design adherence, fungible capacity and consistent delivery across accounts
Accountable for ensuring this portfolio consistently evidence good customer outcomes, maintain strong first‑line risk controls and meet regulatory expectations including Consumer Duty.
Manage and achieve financial targets through optimum capacity, reduced compensation costs, improved productivity, KPIs & KRIs achievement, reduced cycle times, and benefits from consolidated and standardised operations.
Establish capable, high‑performing teams who deliver outcomes consistently and can operate in a standardised, multi‑client, multi‑location environment
Full ownership of FCA and Client engagement for management and reporting of risk events.

What we're looking for:

Relevant degree or equivalent senior management experience in regulated financial services (life & pensions/long‑term savings)
Demonstratable experience in managing Risk Events / Corporate Incidents
Leading pan‑account, multi‑site and cross functional teams
Demonstrable experience of interfacing with regulator, clients and senior management
Good program management experience of managing change activities
Good Financial and Commercial acumen
Good presentation skills
