Summary of the role
All role incumbents must maintain a good working knowledge of applicable FCA principles, specifically including (but not limited to) Consumer Duty and the fair treatment of vulnerable customers to ensure good customer outcomes are at the heart of our culture and all roles and activities. In addition, participate in all required and mandatory training as required.
Manage and deliver one or more projects or programme workstreams in order to meet business objectives.
This role can be based in Peterborough or Basingstoke.
Please note, as this is a people leadership role the successful applicant will be supported to succeed in their new role through enrolment in the appropriate level of our Diligenta Leadership 'Step' Pathway (subject to eligibility criteria), designed to drive quality and consistency across the organisation.
What you will be doing
- Lead, manage and deliver a project or a workstream within a programme, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to scope.
- Responsible for shaping and developing the project approach.
- Applies and champions the appropriate project management discipline, i.e. planning, resourcing, scheduling, monitoring, reporting and risk, issue and dependency management. This should include effective & timely application of project stages at which lessons learned are captured and built into future plans on an ongoing basis.
- Responsibility for distillation of complex information or data in order to get to root issues or see the bigger picture.
- Establishes an effective project organisation structure and responsible for project team shaping, building, development, management and motivation.
- Responsible for the budget reporting, forecasting and expenditure associated with projects.
- Responsible for overall project planning & management of resources required (including well developed contingency plans) to deliver the agreed solutions.
- Manages and contributes to the selection of supplier delivery relationships for technical partners, software vendors and contract agencies.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and key customers, ensuring delivery meets requirements.
What we are looking for
- Educated to A level or equivalent experience and/ or relevant Industry qualification
- Accredited at Project Management discipline (practitioner level) (e.g. Certified Project Manager, APMP,Prince2 practitioner, ISEB)
- Proven experience and ability to influence senior management population
- Proven experience of managing relationships with 3rd parties
- Previous experience with proven track record of delivery in large technical IT projects / programmes
- Expert in Project Management disciplines
