About This Role

Summary of the role:

The main purpose of the Compliance Monitoring Officer role will be to provide internal and external stakeholders with an objective view of the effectiveness of regulatory controls across the business by undertaking aspects of the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
You will also undertake allocated reviews within Diligenta’s annual Compliance Monitoring Plans on Diligenta’s compliance with regulatory requirements, including Conduct Risk, and achievement of TCF compliant customer outcome.

What you'll be doing:
  • Undertake allocated Compliance Monitoring assignments under minimum supervision to the required timescales and quality and in accordance with Diligenta’s Compliance Monitoring Methodology
  • Agree appropriate and cost-effective remedial management actions with relevant colleagues to address reported findings and, therefore, to meet regulatory obligations and deliver TCF compliant customer outcomes
  • Track and report progress on remedial actions
  • Undertake projects and other ad hoc activity as required by Compliance Monitoring Manager
  • Establish and continuously develop formal/informal communication networks and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute positive ideas and experience to enhance the Compliance Monitoring methodology and professional working practices
  • Act as an effective ambassador for the function, promoting a positive image of Compliance within Diligenta and with clients
  • Demonstrate an understanding of conduct risk and compliance with TCF and New Consumer Duty principles
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum full FPC, or equivalent
  • Achieved or prepared to study for relevant professional qualifications for specific areas of expertise
  • Regulatory Knowledge – Has a good understanding of the regulated environment, including awareness of FCA (particularly Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty), DPA and AML requirements and other regulations relating to UK life and pensions business (e.g., HMRC and tPR)
  • Understanding the business - developing a deep understanding of our businesses, the needs of its stakeholders and knowing what needs to be escalated
  • Establishing relationships - understands issues from the businesses’ point of view and build understanding into decisions, solutions and services to manage regulatory compliance risk
  • Maintaining relationships - Continues to manage relationships with businesses and others to ensure continued joint responsibility for regulatory compliance risk
  • Influencing - uses persuasion and forms alliances to build support for the right ideas and solutions, whatever the source
  • Identifying connections - links information, knowledge and experience to form
  • connections so that an event, problem or issue is fully understood

  • Implementing solutions and monitoring regulatory risk

  • Presenting information – able to present information in a clear, concise format Must be MS Office proficient
