About This Role

Summary of the role

The Business Support Manager supporting the Standard Life account will lead and develop a team of Business Support Analysts to ensure operational resilience, compliance, and efficiency across critical business support functions. This role is responsible for strategic oversight of incident management, access control, release coordination, and reporting, while driving continuous improvement and fostering a high-performance culture.

What you’ll be doing
  • Manage, coach, and mentor Business Support Analysts to achieve team objectives
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure full coverage and operational continuity
  • Oversee incident management processes and ensure timely resolution of escalations
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and IT governance frameworks (e.g., SMCR)
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency
  • Support business readiness initiatives and contribute to strategic projects
  • Act as the primary liaison between Business Support and senior leadership Provide accurate and timely reporting on incidents, performance, and risks.
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols and governance standards
  • Mitigate operational risks through proactive planning and resource management
