Summary of the role
To provide an occupational/private pensions and life consultancy, to all areas of Phoenix account, ensuring compliance with legislation and eliminating any areas of exposure to the company
What you'll be doing
- Interpret policy documents, rules and regulations to identify benefits to be provided and appropriate beneficiaries in the event of a non-standard claim.
- Resolve complex referrals from Operations to enable customer requests to be progressed. Investigate historic issues and decide a course of action and where necessary gain approval from Phoenix product management to recommendations.
- Identify and implement changes in procedures for new legislation and regulations relevant to various life, individual pensions and occupational products.
- Provide input to the change process as required to ensure we minimise risk of failing to comply with HMRC, pension regulator and FCA provisions
- Support senior managers, technical colleagues and QA area to ensure training, referrals, auditing and HMRC rules are completed in line with HMRC and legislative requirements and systems functionality/processes
- Liaison with operational management to ensure correct procedures are followed and identifying and resolving any existing or proposed business initiatives to minimise risk to Diligenta and Phoenix
- Review, feedback and approve all new and amended letters and Q A documents used by Operations
- Ownership of writing and updating Phoenix bancs procedure guides covering all sites, including offshore and completing a full review at least annually in line with Phoenix contract. For migration projects, write bancs summary of changes documents for processing teams to follow at migration utilising Strachan reports, legacy procedures, product repository, project documentation and legacy product policy terms and conditions. Attend workshops, client meetings, review test system, whilst producing screenshots for the summaries, identifying defects and feedback to project, including TCS IT.
- Provide technical support to the change area, including meeting attendance, document review, testing, Review Business Requirements documents, written by change Business Analysts, providing feedback and eventual technical sign off.
- Provide technical support to the corporate incident team and investigate potential incidents from on and offshore and identify defects and change requests required, providing technical approval. As required, provide technical guidance to complaints team, to ensure meeting relevant regulations and agreed processes.
What we're looking for
- Experience in approving or drafting policy documents and customer documentation
- Ability to work on own initiative to agreed timescales and manage own workload
- Proven experience in pension or life background
- Knowledge and understanding of Pensions and life legislation and HMRC provisions
- Good knowledge and understanding of FCA and PRA guidelines
- Extensive experience of insured arrangement processes and procedures
